Memex forms strategic alliance with C3i Europe
Memex Technology has announced a strategic alliance with C3i Europe Limited to develop a next generation covert intelligence solution for law enforcement and commercial markets.
Memex has a core competence in law enforcement with its intelligence management solution and IT experts. C3i is heavily engaged in covert investigations and intelligence management into anti-piracy and product diversion issues. It is an authority in the new innovative commercial Intelligence Management System (IMS), which is being used globally by large international organisations to enhance their capabilities affecting security and information management flow. This combination of skills compliments Memex's strategic focus to expand further into the commercial sector and will enable the companies to produce an end-to-end solution fit for market purposes.
Commenting on the new partnership, James Mathieson, managing director of C3i, said: "We utilise cutting edge technology to handle sensitive intelligence on a daily basis and our collaboration with Memex is a logical step for us in the fight against organised crime impacting on law enforcement and the commercial world. We believe that with Memex's help we can enhance our core values and take this developing market to a new level of excellence."
"The type of solution we are working to bring to market is legally required by every police force in the UK and the EU," commented David Carrick, CEO of Memex. "Commercial organisations have the same ethical requirements and therefore a commitment to take corporate responsibility when handling confidential source information, so it is vital that they have a system in place for this. Another reason that commercial organisations will have an interest in this solution is that if no action is taken it can result in civil litigation."
Newly appointed David Andrew, who joined as commercial sales director, will be responsible for helping to co-ordinate the new solution and help place it into the new markets across the UK and internationally when it launches in 2007.
